Topic: Educational Technology (Education)

  • There is also a course site entitled "UST Cloud Campus Faculty Handbook" that provides administrative resources for eLearning in UST.
    1. Log-in to the UST Cloud Campus via ust.blackboard.com .
    2. Search for UST Cloud Campus Faculty Handbook to access the resources.

Topic: Learning Management System (LMS) - UST Cloud Campus

The UST Cloud Campus is the gateway for your eLearning journey in the university. It is powered by Blackboard Learning Management System. It integrates various academic and productivity applications to enrich online teaching and learning experiences.

 Students must be enrolled for the current term to process the request.

The master course site creation should be requested by the Academic Chair/Unit Head with an endorsement from the Dean's Office.

Multiple failed login attempts may result in your account being locked out.

The appointed E-Learning Specialist (ELS) by a specific college is the one in charge for assisting new / co-faculty in accessing the Learning Management System (LMS)

This request requires approval from OVRAA with an endorsement from your Dean's Office.

Converting the course site from Ultra View to Classic/Original View is not possible. There is a workaround to consider, but the content may be affected. For more details,

Changing account names for the faculty members is based on the official list provided by the Office of Faculty Evaluation and Development.

For ULTRA, change the course to private mode Once private, the course can be changed to "OPENED STATUS".

Manual enrollment of the students in the LMS is not permitted to all Faculty members.

This message means that the requested action is in queue. If you failed to receive an email from this action in 24 hours, repeat the process once again and observe the results once done.

  1. Login to your UST Cloud Campus account.
  2. Go to the Activity Stream.
  3. Click the settings ( gear icon) in the upper right corner and then check all the notifications.

Logout and Relogin again to your UST Cloud Campus account, repeat the process of uploading the exam, and consider the Internet connection. Otherwise, it would lead to erroneous in uploading and the save button might be disabled. Use another browser if possible.

Course sites availability to all faculty members are based on the official list provided per term and has been tagged active by the OFED.

If the exam has been setup and required Respondus Lockdown Browser with password, avoid editing the exam from the Content. The exam in Respondus will encounter some error and to remediate it, go to Respondus window, look for the exam and click the "Fix it" to restore the exam.

Follow the following steps:

  1. Open the Respondus Lockdown browser.
  2. Window - "Privacy, cookies and terms of use" will appear.
  3. Click the "Blackboard's Terms of Use".
  4. It will open a new Tab, below accept or allow cookies.
  5. Return to the previous window tab and click ok.
  6. Login using your credentials.

The deleted files/folders in the course site can be recovered through the Content Collection\Recycle Bin and you have an option to write a letter of request to restore the course site from the last known good configuration and subject for approval.

Due to the continuous increase in the storage space consumption in our LMS, old/past course sites have been archived. Write a request letter for temporary access to a course site and subject for approval.

Topic: Google Workspace (GSuite)

 Students must be enrolled for the current term to process the request.

Changing account names for the students is based on the official Registration Form provided by the Registrar's Office. Changing account names for the faculty members is based on the official list provided by the Office of the Faculty Evaluation and Development.

The data may be restored but not more than 25 days ago. Otherwise, Google will permanently delete the files.

Topic: Office 365

If you have lost or forgotten your Microsoft 365 password, you can change or reset it. Send a password reset email to yourself (using another email address associated with your account), or to the account administrator.

For the officially enrolled Freshmen, MS 365 account details will be sent to your respective UST gmail account upon orientation. All other enrolled students should have activated their accounts in previous academic periods.

For any technical concern regarding account activation:

When signing in, if you reach the "More information required" page, please click "use a different account" and choose your account.

The activation of the MS Teams App is upon activation of your UST MS 365 account.

Topic: Zoom

A faculty member should have a teaching load in the current term and should be verified by the TechSupport for account creation.

The UST Zoom Licensed accounts are limited only to all teaching academic staff with Teaching load in the current term. To verify your account,

Topic: Panopto

Panopto is the university's official video management system for instructional videos, tutorials and synchronous classes recordings.

There is no need for the faculty/students to login in the Panopto website. The Panopto is currently integrated in the LMS which is the UST Cloud Campus(Blackboard).

  • For Faculty:  "Create a link from Course site () Tool Link\ UST Video Manager.") Once the Link is created by the Course Instructor, Click to view the Panopto Folder and it will be available to the students per course sites and can view the past lectures as well.
  • Faculty/Students: If you want to login in the Panopto using your UST Cloud Campus (Blackboard) username, you have to choose the "Panopto Integration" instead of "Panopto" and it will be redirected to the Viewer mode.

Use the Panopto application in uploading recorded session or video files and it is currently integrated in the UST Cloud Campus (Blackboard) that is intended to upload and access video files. To access Panopto, go to your course site and click the plus sign () and look for the Tool Link \ UST Video Manager.

This is a broken LTI Link from Blackboard to Panopto due to a sudden access surge in resource relatively to system threshold and it is only a temporary occurrence. You may try to access the link from Panopto later.

Topic: Internet Connection

Check that the internet cable is properly connected and that the router is powered on; if both are OK but there is still no internet connection, please contact STEPS (Santo Tomas e-service Providers) at 87861611 loc. 8888.

Topic: Remote Desktop Access

Possible Reason/s:

  1. You are most likely experiencing a slow Wi-Fi connection; please wait for a stable Wi-Fi connection.
  2. You can't connect if you've turned off your RDA device.
  3. You may not have properly logged out.
